You can share a volunteer or giving opportunity, a news article or a nonprofit profile with others who can access the platform. The link opens the platform and displays the shared content.
To promote content and increase program participation, use the share links described below in company-wide emails, Slack messages, or other types of communications and promotional materials.
Sharing a volunteer opportunity
To share a volunteer opportunity:
- Open a volunteer opportunity.
- Select Share below the opportunity title.
- Select Copy.
The link is now copied to your clipboard and ready to use.

To make it as easy as possible for people to sign up, share a QR code in your promotional materials for the event. Scanning the code will take the user directly to the volunteer opportunity. The ability to use QR codes is limited to the person who created the volunteer opportunity, and any user with a volunteer-titled role. Downloading and printing QR codes cannot be done on mobile.
Sharing a giving opportunity
To share a giving opportunity:
- Open a giving opportunity.
- Select Share below the opportunity title.
- Select Copy.
The link is now copied to your clipboard and ready to use.
Depending on the visibility settings chosen when creating the giving opportunity, you may be able to copy a share link for friends, family and other people outside your company. This specific link opens the Community Impact Portal (the second URL in the screenshot below), where their donations are made.
Sharing a news article
To share a news article:
- Open a news article.
- Select Share below the article title.
- Select Copy.
The link is now copied to your clipboard and ready to use.

Alternatively, download a QR Code to share the news article on digital signage or print promotional materials.
Sharing a nonprofit profile
To share a nonprofit profile:
- Open a nonprofit profile.
- Select Share below the nonprofit name.
- Select Copy.
