Admins can customize the main navigation bar in Employee Groups to include direct links to donation, volunteering, and challenge opportunities. This helps increase visibility and drive cross-program engagement across your Benevity experience.
Permissions
Program admins have access to the Employee Groups Admin tool and the ability to configure the navigation bar.
Accessing the navigation settings
- Navigate to the Employee Groups Admin section, and then select Configure > Navigation.
- Enter your Benevity program domain (for example, example.benevity.org).
- Use the checkboxes to choose which of the following items you want to include in the Employee Groups navigation:
- Donate
- Volunteer
- Challenges
Each item can be configured independently, giving Admins full control over what appears in the navigation bar.
Understanding how navigation links behave
When enabled, each navigation item opens in a new browser tab and directs users to the corresponding program page:
- Donate: Opens the Make a Donation page
https://[yourprogramdomain].benevity.org/giving - Volunteer: Opens the Browse Volunteering page
https://[yourprogramdomain].benevity.org/volunteering - Challenges: Opens the Browse Challenges page
https://[yourprogramdomain].benevity.org/challenges
Note: Replace [yourprogramdomain] with your company’s Benevity program domain.
Important considerations
- The Configure Navigation page and its features are only available to clients with access to Employee Groups and at least one of the following: Benevity Donate, Benevity Volunteer, or Challenges. If a client has access only to Employee Groups (and no other Benevity products), the navigation configuration option will not be available.
- Navigation items are visible to all users in Employee Groups and cannot be customized for specific users or audiences.
