Agenda: Participate in GivingTuesday in a new way! This one-hour, interactive virtual volunteer event, in partnership with GivingTuesday.org, will support nonprofits Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team and Lemontree. Together, we'll complete volunteer activities to digitally map vulnerable areas and help communities thrive this holiday season and beyond.

Agenda: Kick-off Giving Season and drive participation from day one with a virtual volunteer event! This interactive event supports people facing food insecurity and mental health issues. We invited nonprofits, Feeding America and Movember, to share ways to help battle food insecurity and learn techniques to support those struggling with mental health issues. Complete small micro-volunteer actions to help our communities in a big way this holiday season.

In recognition of Pride Month, Benevity is hosting a virtual volunteering event in partnership with Micro Rainbow and OUTMemphis. These amazing nonprofits will share their programs to support the LBGTQI+ community, some of their many success stories, and how you can get involved with small micro-volunteer actions that make a big difference.

During the event, we’ll sign important petitions to drive change, receive tips and tools to challenge hurtful comments and learn how to have meaningful conversations about inclusion. This event will empower you to become an everyday ambassador for love and acceptance.

Recording: May Health Awareness event (watch recording)

In recognition of several health-related awareness days in May, Benevity is hosting a virtual mapathon event to help reach people in need.

Participants will digitally map communities in areas vulnerable to natural disasters, disease outbreaks, epidemics, and conflict. This mapping activity enables humanitarian organizations to reach patients, assess the needs of crisis-hit communities, track disease spread, and respond to local events.

Help drive positive change for the planet while reaching your volunteer program goals! Benevity's Earth Day virtual volunteering event featured nonprofit partners, ZeroWaste.org and Environmental Alliance and covered the following: 

  • Three focus areas that contribute to our pollution problem (plastic, food and consumption)
  • Three quick virtual volunteer activities to help improve the health of our planet
  • Tips to make small habit changes that will significantly help decrease our carbon footprint

Learn more about the Tanzania Development Trust's work empowering women and girls in rural communities, tackling issues like access to clean water and education, improving agricultural practices, and protecting girls' rights to bodily autonomy.
