This article describes the default behaviour of a highly configurable system. Your granting program may appear or behave differently depending on user permissions and custom configurations. If you do not appear to have access to everything you need, use the Help > Request Help link to request additional permissions.
You can open an organization profile to view information about the organization, a history of proposals, recorded notes and more. You can access a profile in the following ways:
- Go to Organizations on the top navigation bar to find a profile and select a name.
- Open a proposal and navigate to the Organization tab.
- Select the Organization Name next to the search results in the Task Management and Payments modules.
Navigate to an organization’s profile and you’ll see the following information.
Cause Information
The first section of the profile is the Cause Information which includes details from the nonprofit profile in Benevity’s nonprofit database. Nonprofits have access to their profiles in the nonprofit database and keep this information up to date.
You can also see the status of the following:
- Vetted by Benevity: a checkmark is displayed if the nonprofit has been vetted and approved by the Benevity vetting process.
- Tax eligible: a checkmark is displayed if grants to the nonprofit are tax eligible.
- Disbursable: a checkmark is displayed if Benevity can disburse to the nonprofit.
- Receives EFT: a checkmark is displayed if the nonprofit is registered to receive funds by Electronic Funds Transfer.
Employee Engagement
If you have an integration with Benevity’s employee engagement platform, you’ll see statistics on employee engagement with this nonprofit.
Guidestar Charity Check
The latest GuideStar Charity Check results are displayed here. The check uses the Tax ID of the organization and includes a link to view more GuideStar information. You can see when the status was last checked or select Update Now to see the current status.
History
The History section displays a summary of the proposals associated with the organization, allowing you to evaluate past support of the nonprofit and how the proposals were handled. Select Show total amount to learn the sum of all prior proposals.
Select View Proposals to view a table of related proposals. Apply filters to narrow results and select a Proposal Name to view more details. You can also select one or more proposals for export.

Notes
Organization Notes are added to the organization profile. You can enter the following details on the note:
- Subject: headline for the note.
- Type: a customizable list for grouping notes by type.
- Text: the body of the note.
- Attachment: the accepted file formats: doc, docx, xls, xlsx, mpp, txt, pdf, jpg, jpeg, ppt, pptx, mp3, msg, eml. Maximum file size is 10MB.
Proposal Notes include those added to any proposal submitted in the organization's History.
