January 2026 Release Notes

What's new for Benevity's products in January

Find out what’s changed and what’s coming soon across Benevity products this month.

Program and Risk Management

Expanded featured content carousel
The new expanded featured content section gives program admins who are using stream manager greater flexibility and control to configure and showcase a broader range of content on their homepage. Admins will have the option to select 3, 6 or 9 cards of content to display on their homepage.

Volunteering

Notifications -  opportunity owners and/or contacts when sign up is removed
Email notifications are an important way for organizers to stay up to date on how their events are shaping up without needing to log in. Owners and contacts will soon be receiving email alerts when volunteers remove their signups, as well as receive a running total of signups with each notification so they can stay on top of how many volunteers to expect at their event.

Grants Management

Audit logs for email template changes
We've added a new Audit Log feature to Self Serve Manage Emails, giving you full transparency and control. You can now track every change made to your email templates, view who made the update, and easily search, filter, and export the entire history for compliance and security reviews.

Nonprofit Experience

Streamlined grant application management for nonprofits
The new grant application management dashboard in the Causes Portal gives your nonprofit partners a single, centralized place to track the status of all their grant applications, providing greater transparency, reducing administrative effort, and helping get your funding to work in the community faster.

Upcoming Releases

Here’s a preview of product updates planned for release on February 3. These are subject to change and will be confirmed in the next release notes.

Giving

New giving opportunity preview available
Administrators will be able to preview the modernized Giving Opportunity experience on January 6th. This update includes a more modern look and feel, enhanced accessibility, and a consolidated manage menu.

Take action from the homepage
A new ‘take action’ section on the homepage offers guided workflows to make it easier for your employees when they want to make a first time donation, or use the rewards they have available.

Program and Risk Management

Admin Resource Center and Easy Access to Grace (End User Support Bot)
The in-app support experience is tailored to your role. End users have access to Grace, a conversational support bot that provides instant answers to common questions, directly within the platform. Program administrators access the full Resource Center, which includes access to Genie (our admin support bot from the B-Hive) plus additional tools: announcements, the client community, and feedback submission. This integrated approach helps everyone get the most out of your Benevity programs, whether you need quick answers or comprehensive admin resources.

Employee Mobilization

Pre event surveys in Employee Groups
Group Leaders can create custom surveys to gather information from attendees at the time they sign up for an event, ensuring they have all the details necessary for their events to be executed successfully.

Volunteering

Email notifications changes for user signups
Coordinators and contacts will now receive modernized email notifications when a user signs up.
