Locking a proposal

This article describes the default behaviour of a highly configurable system. Your granting program may appear or behave differently depending on user permissions and custom configurations. If you do not appear to have access to everything you need, use the Help > Request Help link to request additional permissions.

You can lock a Proposal to prevent editing or releasing it for edits. This is typically done during the final stage of the proposal review to make sure that users cannot edit the proposal.

Check the proposal summary to see if it is Locked or Unlocked:

  • To lock a proposal, select More Actions > Lock Submission.
  • To unlock a proposal, hover over More Actions > Unlock Submission.

The ability to lock or unlock a Proposal depends on user permissions. You can also automate locking a proposal as part of a workflow when an action is taken.
