Profile visibility controls whether your profile appears in the Member List on the Members tab of a group homepage. You can participate in a group without appearing in its member list, which helps you manage your privacy while staying active in Employee Groups.

Hiding your profile from the member list
You can hide your profile from the Member List at any time from the group homepage.
- Go to the group homepage.
- Select the Members tab.
- Turn the Appear in the member list of this group toggle off under Member List.
A You are hidden from this list badge appears on your profile tile when the toggle is off.
To show your profile in the list again, turn the toggle on. Your change saves automatically.
Setting visibility when joining a group
When you join a group, you can set your visibility before you finish joining. Some groups show Join Group. Groups that need approval show Request to Join.
- Select Join Group or Request to Join, whichever appears for that group.
- Choose Listed in member list or Hidden in member list in the Set your membership visibility window. The default is Listed.
- Select Save.
This choice also applies to any chapters of the group you join later. You can change it anytime using the toggle on the Members tab.
Understanding what stays visible when your profile is hidden
Whether your profile visibility is listed or hidden, your comments, posts, and activities in the group or community still show your name and profile. When you create a post or comment while your profile is hidden, a notice appears: Your post will include your name and profile.
