How to use this report
Use this report to share your company's overall impact, and the impact individual teams are making with Spark users.

Managers can view their team’s giving, volunteering, and Missions contributions over a selected period, allowing them to focus on increasing participation and driving goodness at a local level.

All employees can see the cumulative impact of the program and how their team is contributing.
Enabling the report
- Users with the Site Settings role can enable this report.
- Sign into Spark and navigate to Manage > Site Settings > Company Impact.
- Select the Enable Company Impact Report toggle.
Customizing the report
Creating multi-level data groupings enables users to view impact at different levels of the organization. For example, a user could view the impact their company is making on a global, regional, national, or local level by clicking on each level in table section of the report.
How to create a data grouping:
- Users with the Site Settings role can create groups
- Sign into Spark and navigate to Manage > Site Settings > Company Impact.
- Select Add Group.

In the Group name field, enter a custom name that will be visible to report users.

In Level 1 select a demographic data field from the drop-down menu
- Add additional levels as needed with the Add Level button
- Select Preview to view the report as users would see it
- Select Save Groupings
Accessing the report
- All Spark users are able to view the report once enabled.
- Navigate to My Dashboard and select the Company Impact button, located below your profile name and photo.
When data is updated
This report is updated in real-time.
Report views and filters
There are four report views:
- Overall Participation: Overall participation rate, amount donated, number of volunteer hours tracked and Missions activities completed.
- Volunteering: Volunteer participation rate, number of volunteers, total volunteer hours and volunteer opportunities.
- Giving: Donation participation rate, number of donors, total donation amount and number of causes supported.
- Missions: Missions participation rate, number of participants, and total activities completed. Learn more about the Missions feature.
Please note that only users with access to a given feature will see the corresponding tab for that feature. For example, if a user is on "Volunteer Only" mode, they will not see the "Giving" tab, nor mentions of donations on the "Overall participation" tab. Or if a site doesn't have "Missions" enabled, no users will see a "Missions" tab, nor mentions of Missions on the "Overall participation" tab.
All views contain the same filters
- Group Type: select any data grouping (if configured by a program administrator).
- Start date / end date: filter impact over a specific time period.
Exporting the data
Once users have selected and applied filters, they can Export to the data in PDF, XLSX or CSV for further visualization.
Additional information

Does the data in the Company Impact report include grants, corporate donations or CI portal donations? No, data in this report only represents the donations, volunteer time tracked and missions activities completed by Spark users.

Will employees be able to see each other's activity with this report? No, an individual's data is always grouped with the data of other users, so it is not possible to see an individual's activity. Groups with <6 employees will not be displayed.
Glossary terms
- Overall Participation: users who have donated, tracked volunteer time, or completed a missions activity (if enabled) displayed as a percentage of eligible users.
- Volunteer Participation: users who have tracked volunteer time displayed as a percentage of eligible users.
- Donation Participation: users who have donated displayed as a percentage of eligible users.
- Eligible user: Any user that had access to Spark during the selected timeframe.
- UTC: Universal Time Coordinated. This is the standard time zone of all Spark reports.
