General Discussion

  • Cassandra and the team at ON Semiconductor are looking to set up an Employee Relief Fund. They are leaning towards outsourcing to a vendor to assist with fund management, but are also curious about hosting the program in-house. If you have experience working with the vendors she has mentioned or on in-house hosting, feel free to hop into the thread and share your own suggestions and feedback!

Content and Campaign Resources

Stand Together Against Anti-Asian Racism

  • Racist attacks against Asian Americans across the United States must end. A wave of violence and an upsurge in racism towards Asian and Pacific Islander communities has been seen in cities across the United States. We've created resources that support leading US organizations who are dedicated to protecting the guaranteed civil rights of Asian Americans through advocacy, legal action, policy change and more.

  • These resources include:
    • A giving opportunity and news item
    • Cause recommendations for major U.S.-based organizations and local causes supporting Asian American and Pacific Islander communities, through anti-racist advocacy, legal action, community support and awareness building
    • Images sized for Spark and cover story
  • We are continuing to research Canadian and U.K. based causes on this issue and expect to update these resources in the coming days with more recommendations.

Support Vaccination Efforts

  • Even though vaccines are now being distributed across the country, America is still suffering greatly from the COVID-19 pandemic. With more than half a million dead, the United States has been the hardest hit of any country in the world. But vaccines offer the hope that will defeat the pandemic. We've created giving and volunteering resources, to help you and your people support the vaccine roll out and the causes that are helping Americans receive vaccinations.
  • These resources include:
    • A giving opportunity and news item
    • Cause recommendations for major U.S.-based organizations supporting the vaccination effort by overseeing the delivery of vaccines, administering clinics, vaccinating service members and providing vital support to hospitals
    • A volunteering guide with instructions on how program leaders can learn about the local vaccination effort in their region, and a template volunteer opportunity
    • Images sized for Spark giving and volunteering opportunities, volunteering banners, and cover story

National Volunteer Week 2021

  • National Volunteer Week is April 18-24, and the theme for 2021 is "The Value of One; The Power of Many." We've created resources you can use to create volunteer opportunities on eight different themes, that your people can participate in on their own, or together in groups when it's safe and makes sense.
  • These resources include:
    • Eight volunteering opportunities:
      • Helping Seniors
      • Helping the Homeless
      • Sports and Physical Activity
      • Helping Animals
      • Youth Mentorship
      • Special Olympics
      • Supporting Food Banks
      • Helping with Mental Health
    • Cause recommendations for each opportunity for the U.S. and Canada
