Who can approve or decline a request? 

When you create the roles and permissions for your program, you'll decide who can approve or decline a request. You can then assign the people with those permissions to the grant request. For more info on roles, check out the request owner and assignee overview.

What if I have emails pulling request amounts or in-kind items? 

If you have emails set up to pull request amounts or in-kind items, you must add a payment line before you approve a request. 

If you don't add the payment line, the approval email will populate with $0 or no in-kind items. The payment line will remain editable and stay as unprocessed for the time being, as the payment process can’t begin until the request has been approved. 

How to approve or decline a request 

  1. Open the request. 
  2. Go to the Admin tab.


  3. Select Edit. 
  4. Choose Approved or Declined under Request status. If you decline the request, add the reason why. 
  5. Select Save. 

Use single decision review 

Another way to approve or decline a request is with single decision review. This is an add-on feature. Please contact your Benevity Client Success Manager for more information.
