Benevity Reporting enables comprehensive, self-serve reporting on key metrics related to your giving, volunteering, or granting program. These metrics can be segmented and sliced by virtually any attribute. Our reporting solution also allows you, as program administrators, to create and schedule reports as well as download the results in your preferred format (e.g. xlsx, csv, pdf, ppt).
Ad hoc reporting
You can create a wide range of ad hoc reports to get the information you need and share it with your colleagues.
The ad hoc reporting environment provides a powerful interface for you to:
- Explore your data to identify opportunities to enhance your program
- Slice and dice your data to help answer specific questions on your program
- Build reusable reports customized to your program at the granularity that you need
The drag-and-drop environment enables reports to be created, either one time or on a recurring basis, on virtually any metric or combination of metrics—all presented in a variety of graphic formats including various charts. The comprehensive list of reportable fields includes detailed information about causes, the initiatives you create, and custom user information from your demographic data and information.
Stock reporting
You can access a set of standard, out-of-the-box reports available through the stock reporting library.
The library is a collection of reports that give you quick answers to common operational questions you may face when running your program, as well as analysis to gain insight into how your employees are engaging in your program.
By using these reports, you can check in real time how a disaster relief campaign is performing or compare how different retail stores are participating so far this year. Fun fact: These are the top reporting requests that we see across our clients, no matter employee size or industry!
We debuted the Stock Reporting Library in 2018, and we’ve since seen an increase of more than 800% in usage of these reports! And the list of reports is growing every month, based on feedback from program administrators like you.

Repository
To help you manage the collection of ad hoc reports and stock reports, Benevity Reporting includes a repository to organize all of your reporting content within separate folders. Within the repository, you can create sub-folders to organize your reports as well as open, run and schedule all of your reports.
Scheduling reports
You can schedule ad hoc reports and stock reports, which will run on a recurring basis at a predetermined date and time. Or, if you need the results right away, they can be run immediately. The results can then be downloaded to in a variety of formats (e.g. xlsx, csv, pdf, ppt).

Note: Some stock reports in Benevity Reporting are refreshed every eight hours.
Search
Benevity Reporting includes a comprehensive search tool that allows you to search for ad hoc reports, stock reports, dashboards and exported content saved within your repository using a keyword search.
The search scans both titles and descriptions. You can sort your search results by Name or Modified Date. You can also use the Filters on the left side of the page to narrow down your search results.
The results of the search are displayed in a list below the search bar and you can open any of the items provided in the search results based on your assigned permissions.

Benevity Reporting offers varied permission levels covering all aspects of administration. You can request different levels of permission to ensure the right level of access for any team member, such as excluding personal information or limiting access to different program areas (e.g. employee giving or volunteering).
