Get started with embedded reporting dashboards

To access the embedded admin dashboard, start by selecting Manage to enter Spark as an administrator. You’ll see the dashboard load below the navigation bar. With this dashboard, you can view a few different embedded reports. The Spark Admin Dashboard refreshes every 8 hours.

Giving

You can modify content on the dashboard by selecting the Filter dropdown menu. The Year is available by calendar year only. The Country dropdown menu indicates each of the instances you have available. All amounts are shown in the local currency of the selected instance (e.g. if you select United States, amounts will be shown in USD).

Annual Metrics:

  • Eligible Users: This is the number of users who were eligible to log in to Spark at some point for the Year and Country selected.
  • The number is typically higher than the current head count, as users are activated and deactivated throughout the year.
  • Donors:  This is a distinct count of the number of users who have made a donation for the Year and Country selected.
  • Accepted Terms of Use: This is the number of eligible users in the Year and Country selected who they have accepted the terms of use, divided by the number of eligible users in that Year and Country.
  • Median User Donation: This is an indication of how much a typical user gave in the Year selected.
  • Causes Supported: This is the number of unique causes that users have donated to in the Year and Country selected. It does not include causes donated to through Corporate Direct Donations, Corporate Gift Cards, PAC Matching or the Community Impact Portal.

Volunteering

You can modify the content on the dashboard by selecting the Filter dropdown menu. The Year is available by calendar year only. The Country dropdown menu indicates each of the instances you have available.

Annual Metrics:

  • Volunteers: This is a distinct number of people who have submitted volunteer time during the Year selected through the filter.
  • Each volunteer submission must be Approved or Auto-Approved for a user to count as a volunteer.
  • Users Signed up: This is a distinct count of the number of users who have signed up for a volunteer shift within Spark in the Year selected.
  • The Year applies to when the user signed up, not when the Volunteer Opportunity/shift took place.
  • Median Volunteer Hours: This is an indication of how much a typical user volunteered in the Year selected.
  • Causes Supported: This is the number of unique causes that benefitted through volunteering, calculated using the submitted and approved volunteer hours with the Year.
