We're excited to announce that Benevity will soon be using Adyen, a leading payment processor, alongside our current provider, BlueSnap, to process credit card donations through the Benevity platform. This will increase the reliability and redundancy of our donation processing system, ensuring a smooth experience for donors.
What is Adyen?
Adyen is a trusted payment processor used by some of the world's largest companies. By adding them as a secondary processor, we're creating a backup system in case our current provider experiences any service disruptions. This will minimize donation processing interruptions and ensure donors can continue to support their chosen causes.
What are the benefits?
- Increased Reliability: Adyen provides redundancy, so if our current provider encounters an issue, your donors can still donate using credit cards.
- Improved User Experience: By minimizing disruptions, donors can contribute to their favorite causes without encountering processing delays.
What due diligence has been performed?
Benevity has performed robust due diligence on Adyen to ensure they meet our high standards for security and reliability. Adyen undergoes annual certification under the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards as a Service Provider, as well as completing SOC 2 Type II examinations for their security, availability, confidentiality and privacy controls. Adyen is the largest European based payment provider, and has a strong track record regarding the protection of personal data under GDPR and other data protection laws around the world.
