Using Versaic standard dashboards

Versaic standard dashboards are Benevity curated views inside Reporting Studio. They summarize grant budgeting, cash disbursements, payment status, and proposal pipeline health for Versaic administrators. Use them to answer everyday grantmaking questions without building ad hoc reports.

These dashboards are available to Versaic clients who use the current budget module and multi-currency configuration in Reporting Studio. Clients on legacy budget or multi-currency setups must migrate before the dashboards reflect accurate data. Users need Versaic viewer or Versaic editor access in Reporting Studio. To confirm your entitlement, contact your Customer Success Manager.

Dashboard data in Reporting Studio refreshes every two hours. Dates and times display in UTC by default unless your tenant uses a different timezone.

Note: We strongly recommend that users do not copy standard dashboards. Copied versions will not get future updates or fixes, which means they can quickly become outdated or inaccurate. The standard dashboards in the shared folder are the source of truth and are actively maintained by our team. Any changes or improvements made there will not apply to personal or copied versions.

Opening dashboards from Reporting Studio

Versaic standard dashboards are curated views Benevity maintains for your tenant on the Versaic tab in Reporting Studio. Use them when you need grant budgeting, disbursement, payment, or proposal pipeline insights.

  1. Select the Versaic tab.
  2. Review Versaic Standard Dashboards for quick links into each curated dashboard.
  3. Select the dashboard card that matches the question you need to answer.
  4. Use the filters built into each dashboard to narrow your results. Do not add or remove filters unless Benevity or your reporting analyst directs you otherwise.

Exploring the Cash Budget Summary dashboard

Provide oversight of operational spend and budget utilization to ensure financial oversight and prevent misallocation.

This dashboard presents payment data compared with annual budget limits. Data includes payment amounts on approved grants, their status, and associated budgets. All payments convert and display in your program's default currency so you can assess total budget usage across budget levels.

  1. Open Cash Budget Summary from Versaic Standard Dashboards.
  2. Confirm the active currency matches your organization's default granting currency when tiles consolidate multiple regions.
  3. Compare approved spend against annual budget tiers to see remaining capacity.
  4. Use dashboard filters when you need to narrow results before sharing or exporting.

Exploring the Cash Distribution Summary dashboard

Provides a comprehensive overview of disbursements by tracking payment metrics across budget groups and distribution channels to ensure accurate financial reconciliation.

This dashboard presents a summary of approved requests, including the impact on supported causes. Data includes payment amounts, cause recipients, and payment processing dates. Amounts convert and display in your program's default currency.

  1. Open Cash Distribution Summary from Versaic Standard Dashboards.
  2. Review cash disbursement activity and how payments break down by budget group.
  3. Pair this view with your finance calendar when validating large quarterly swings.
  4. Use dashboard filters to focus on a specific cohort.

Exploring the Payment Summary dashboard

Track the volume, timing, and status of cash and in-kind payments to manage cash flow and ensure financial compliance.

This dashboard presents a summary of payments on approved grants. Data includes payment amounts and payment details such as cheque number and receipt received. Summary tiles for approved and paid amounts display in your program's default currency when the data includes payments in multiple currencies.

  1. Open Payment Summary from Versaic Standard Dashboards.
  2. Review payment status fields such as scheduled, fulfilled, and receipts received.
  3. Compare cash and in-kind payment tracking when your program uses both payment types.
  4. Use dashboard filters when you must narrow to a cohort before sharing externally.

Exploring the Proposal Summary dashboard

Identify workflow bottlenecks and areas for optimization within grant programs.

This dashboard presents a summary of submitted requests. Data includes request status, a comparison of requested versus approved amounts over time, and related pipeline metrics. All amounts convert and display in your program's default currency.

  1. Open Proposal Summary from Versaic Standard Dashboards.
  2. Identify workflow bottlenecks across requests in your pipeline.
  3. Compare requested versus approved amounts to support reviewer and stakeholder conversations.
  4. Share insights from the dashboard directly rather than emailing raw exports when possible.

Maintaining reliable dashboard data

If you compare dashboard totals to records in Versaic, allow up to two hours for recent activity to appear before treating a difference as a data issue.

Apply filters deliberately and keep a record of any filter set you use when sharing results. Changing filters between reviews makes it harder to compare numbers over time or explain them to stakeholders.

If totals still look unexpected, confirm you opened the dashboard from the Versaic Standard Dashboards section and not from My Folder. Copied Standard Dashboards do not receive Benevity updates and can show outdated or blank results. Contact your Customer Success Manager if you still need help validating entitlement or extract timing for your tenant.
